One-hour back pain and posture workshops

 

 Relaxa offers a range of one-hour back pain and posture focused educational workshops. Each one-hour workshop has been designed to be delivered in one-hour and all participants are provided with all the information that they may require.

One-hour workstation health and safety workshop

The one-hour workstation health and safety workshop covers everything that employees need to know about health and safety at their workstation and enables your workforce to take a more proactive approach to pain prevention – including carrying out efficient self-assessments.

Option 1 - 60 minute presentation

A Relaxa consultant delivers an interactive PowerPoint presentation containing all relevant information and advice:
 

Workstations and regulations outlined
Health risks explained (musculoskeletal disorders, stress, etc)
Seated posture and chair set-up
Equipment features and set-up
Other considerations (environment and work routines)
Self-assessment
Pain prevention stretches and exercises
Company certification

Option 2 – 30-minute presentation and 30-minute practical training

For up to 8 workers to attend a single session allowing the Relaxa consultant to provide practical training in the working environment. Workers have the opportunity to identify risks associated with their specific tasks and discuss them with an expert.

One-hour manual handling workshop

The manual handling workshop is designed to provide general information that benefits any workers carrying out manual handling tasks. It can also be tailored to suit the specific needs of your company.

Option1 – 1 hour presentation

Introduction to manual handling

Posture and correct handling techniques

Option 2 – 30-minute presentation and 30-minute practical training

For up to 8 workers to attend a single session allowing the Relaxa consultant to provide practical training in the working environment. Workers have the opportunity to identify risks associated with their specific tasks and discuss them with an expert.

One-hour preventing back pain and RSI workshop

The 60-minute preventing Back Pain and RSI (repetitive strain injury) workshop focuses on the most significant and costly work-related illnesses. This workshop is designed to build worker awareness and understanding of common risks and causes of back pain and RSI in the working environment. In addition attendees receive details of effective pain prevention and management techniques.

One-hour importance of posture workshop

The 60-minute posture workshop specifically focuses on the importance of good posture in preventing the onset of pain at work. This workshop is provided as an alternative to Back Pain and RSI for clients where poor working postures among employees are of particular concern.

Practical posture series of one-hour training workshops

Relaxa's Improving Posture workshop is a highly-effective, pro-active approach to back pain and RSI prevention at work. It is a group-based series of 3 to 5 one-hour practical sessions with a postural rehabilitation expert.

The workshop series focuses on:

Relative flexibility testing – identifies postural imbalances on every individual
Postural exercises – develops strength and stability associated with a pain-free, upright posture
Postural stretches – corrects muscle imbalances to allow proper alignment
Awareness training – improves sitting and standing posture
 

All exercises are low intensity and can be done without the need to change into exercise clothing.

All stretches and exercises learned on the course can be done at home, without the need for any weights or assistance.
